Ma-Mow-We-Tak Friendship Centre : The Ma-Mow-We-Tak Friendship Centre, incorporated June 15, 1976, is a non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian, charitable organization striving to meet the needs of urban Aboriginal people within the City of Thompson and surrounding communities, who are making the transition from life on the reserve or community to urban life. This is achieved through the provision of programs and services which focus on culture, health, employment/training, education, social issues, hostel, recreation, and justice. The Ma-Mow-We-Tak Friendship Centre is governed by an eleven member volunteer Board of Directors who are elected annually.
