About the company

Oakville Glass & Mirror : Oakville Glass & Mirror Ltd. commenced operations in 1955, located at that time at 2361 Lakeshore Road in Bronte. Current president Dieter Ringler and his partner Frank Furtner purchased the company from its original owner, Anthony Zogala, on August 1st, 1967, starting off as a small repair shop with just 3 employees and servicing the Halton region. Dieter bought out his partner in 1967 and since then has been the sole owner of Oakville Glass & Mirror. The first expansion of Oakville Glass & Mirror took place in 1974 when a second location was added to house the commercial glazing and fabrication operations. In 1977 Ingrid Ringler, current Vice President and wife of Dieter, joined the company to take over residential sales and bookkeeping tasks. Due to an overwhelming increase in business starting in 1980, we realized that we needed more space and merged the residential and commercial operations at our current location. At that time our new location comprised just 2,500 sq. ft., but 25 years and 3 expansions later our operation has grown to 9,000 sq. ft. in size and employs 20 full time staff, as well as 16 subcontract installers.
